Traditional English Afternoon Tea
The Creation of Afternoon Tea
The creation of Afternoon Tea, is credited to a lifelong friend of Queen Victoria, Anna Maria Russell, 7th Duchess of Bedford in 1840. Afternoon Tea was said to satisfy her peckishness during the long wait between lunch and dinner. Today at Chocolate Secrets, we continue this thoroughly English tradition.
Chocolate Secrets Afternoon Tea
Our Afternoon Tea menu follows the traditional combination of sweet and savory selections made from only the finest ingredients. The menu includes an assortment of Tea Sandwiches, Scones (served warm), delectable house made pastries, and accoutrements.
Of course, at the heart of the experience is the tea itself. Chocolate Secrets offers a variety of flavors, from Organic English Breakfast to the refreshingly complex Chocolate Secrets blends.
Our Afternoon Tea is served on white linens, and the very finest bone china and silverware.

CUCUMBER TEA SANDWICHES
Cucumber slices tossed in salt, pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil with a smear of mint butter and as per
tradition, it comes on a soft, house-made, white bread, recalling the time when white bread was a culinary
sensation thanks to 19th century milling techniques.
EGG SALAD TEA SANDWICHES
Hard boiled eggs chopped and tossed with smoked paprika mayo, parsley and dill
ROTISSERIE CHICKEN SALAD TEA SANDWICHES
Pulled rotisserie chicken tossed in cayenne aioli with roasted corn and caramelized onions
HAM AND MUSTARD TEA SANDWICHES
Honey whole grain mustard mayo, slice of ham, and crisp apples on toast points
Our Secrets deviled egg recipe, with smoked paprika garnish.
Note: You might notice there is always a consistent balance between the thickness of the bread and the filling in our sandwiches, so that the filling is the same depth as the carefully sliced bread. Unlike bread sliced for toasting, ours is laterally sliced so that it retains its shape, and is a pleasure to look at and eat.
Scones, Macarons & Other Handmade Pastries
Each of our pastries is made in-house using premium, organic, and natural ingredients. Our confections include handmade, French macarons, blueberry scones or cake.
Bonbons & Truffles
Established in 2003, Chocolate Secrets is a gourmet chocolate and fine wine “Experience.” There are over 7 countries represented in our kitchen and our combined culinary experience exceeds 100 years. With all this talent, it's not surprising that Chocolate Secrets hand makes over 52 flavors of bonbons and truffles.
