The Origins of Afternoon Tea

 

The origin of Afternoon Tea, is credited to the lifelong friend of Queen Victoria, Anna Maria Russell, 7th Duchess of Bedford in 1840. Afternoon Tea satiated the ladies when they felt peckish during the long wait between lunch and dinner.

 

Afternoon Tea is traditionally served at 3 pm. We serve tea at 1 PM, 3 PM and 4:30 PM (The after school pick up line takes precedence over tradition.) 

Dallas Tea Room

 

The Dallas Tea Room follows the traditional combination of sweet and savory selections made from only the finest ingredients. The menu includes an assortment of tea sandwiches, blueberry scones (served warm), house made pastries, clotted cream and handcrafted raspberry confiture. ​

The Dallas Tea Room was started by dear friends Chocolate Secrets founder, Pam G. Eudaric, and Enjoy founder, Suzanne Palmlund

Each of our pastries is made in-house using premium, organic, and natural ingredients. Our confections include handmade, French macarons, blueberry scones or cake.​

Established in 2003, Chocolate Secrets is a gourmet chocolate and fine wine “Experience.” There are over 7 countries represented in our kitchen and our combined culinary experience exceeds 100 years. With all this talent, it's not surprising that Chocolate Secrets hand makes over 52 flavors of bonbons and truffles.

Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of your scheduled tea date, will receive 100% refund.

Cancellations made within 3 - 6 days will incur a 20% fee.

​

Cancellation made within 2 days will incur a 60% fee.

​

Cancellations made within 24 hours are non refundable and not subject to a refund or transfer. ​
